Badan Berasid? Simptom dan Cara Mengawalnya


Selamat berhujung minggu. Entri hari ni berikutan pertanyaan Hidayah dalam entri PGP sebelum ni. 

Badan berasid merupakan punca kepada sebahagian besar masalah kesihatan yang melanda masyarakat pada hari ini disebabkan corak pemakanan yang lebih karbohidrat dan gula, dan dalam masa yang sama kurang pengambilan sayur-sayuran. Pengambilan kafein, rokok dan alkohol menambah buruk kepada masalah keasidan dalam badan ini. Stres juga merupakan faktor penyumbang kepada masalah badan berasid. 

BAGAIMANA MENGETAHUI BADAN TERLEBIH ASID


Bagaimana pula kita nak tahu sama ada kita mengalami masalah ini? Secara luarannya, gejala-gejala yang kita hadapi boleh dijadikan kayu pengukur. Berikut adalah simptom-simptom yang disenaraikan oleh

1. Lack of energy, constant fatigue, loss of physical tone and psychic drive, sensation of heaviness in the limbs, feelings of inability to cope.
2. Lower body temperature; frequently feels cold.
3. Tendency to get infections.
4. Loss of drive, joy and enthusiasm.
5. Depressive tendencies.
6. Nervousness, agitation without cause, hyperactivity, sensitivity to high-pitched noises and easily stressed.

UJIAN AIR KENCING


Selain simptom-simptom di atas, kita juga boleh melakukan ujian sendiri untuk mengenalpasti PH tubuh kita. Caranya, ujian air kencing yang kedua diambil dan diperiksa dengan ujian kertas litmus. Kertas litmus boleh didapati di farmasi.

BAGAIMANA MENGAWAL BADAN BERASID


Cara yang paling mudah dan semulajadi adalah mengubah corak pemakanan. Lebihkan pengambilan sayur-sayuran hijau dan buah-buahan sitrus. Buah-buahan sitrus walaupun mengandungi asid sitrik, namun dapat mengalkalikan badan apabila dimakan. Sayur-sayuran juga elok dimakan mentah. Pendek kata lebihkan ulam-ulaman. Kurangkan juga pengambilan gula dan makanan tinggi karbohidrat yang berasaskan tepung dalam diet seharian. Telur dan oat juga perlu dielakkan makan secara berlebihan.

Natural Ways to Restore Health by Reducing Acidity

Few things are as frustrating as having a doctor give you a clean bill of health when you just don't feel very good. Unfortunately, the disconnect between diagnosis and disorder happens all the time. A number of conditions simply are not on conventional medicine's radar, so many physicians tend to dismiss symptoms. 


At my clinic we have learned that Acidosis, the term given to high levels of acid in the body, falls into that category. With symptoms ranging from fatigue and aches and pains to nausea and other digestive disorders, acidosis is seldom diagnosed – or even considered as a possible source of poor health in mainstream medicine.
Acidosis is problematic because it means the body's pH (potential of hydrogen) is out of balance and proper pH balance is vital for good health. Water has a neutral pH of 7.0. Ideally, the body’s pH should be 7.43, slightly more alkaline than water. A lower pH indicates excess acid, or acidosis. A pH above 7.43 signals excessive alkalinity, or alkalosis.

Both acidosis and alkalosis can lead to myriad health problems. But acidosis, which is more common, is especially troubling, because it interferes with optimal functioning in cells throughout the body. Production of white blood cells, which are involved in immunity, suffers most. In an acidic environment, poor quality white blood cells are produced, making it easy for infections to take hold. Restoring a proper pH balance helps boost the immune system and benefits the entire body.

You can determine your own pH levels with a simple test. Use litmus paper (available at most pharmacies including perfectlyhealthy.com) to check the second urine of the day, following the directions on the product.
If the test shows excess acid, simple dietary changes can help. Eliminating acidic foods – most types of protein, coffee, sugar, and alcohol – is a good place to start. Replace acid-producing foods by increasing your intake of raw fruits and vegetables. Check the alkaline diet info on perfectlyhealthy.com. Almost all fruits and vegetables (except for tomatoes, cranberries and blueberries) are alkalizing. Soy and products made from soy are also helpful for reducing acid.

Foods made from flour—bread, cakes, noodles and pasta, for example-- are known for increasing acid levels in the body, so they should be avoided. The same is true of beans, eggs and oatmeal. Surprisingly, in spite of their citric acid content, citrus fruits have an alkalinizing effect when consumed, so go ahead and enjoy oranges, grapefruit and related fruits without worrying about contributing to acid levels.

In addition, swap regular vitamin C supplements for a buffered version, to further decrease your body's acidic load. And if you're not already taking supplements of the minerals calcium, magnesium and potassium, or pH balancing supplements like green vegetable powders, consider adding them to your daily regimen, since they can also lower acidity.
